Lighthouse Boxer Rescue is a volunteer organization. We are not a shelter, our foster dogs are kept in trained foster homes until adopted. In order to adopt from us you must complete an adoption application located on our website at: www.LighthouseBoxerRescue.org

My name is Atlas.  I am blind and I’m about 6-8 years old.  I was found wandering the streets of Cherokee County, GA.  My guardian angels wouldn’t give up on me and just before I was schedule to die they saved me.  I’m being boarded in the Atlanta GA area.  My guardian angels already told me I will travel to the best home, no matter where it is.   I so want a home with a person(s) that I can call mine and me theirs.  I don’t know if I’ve ever been in a real home, but I know I would fit right in.  I’m protective of my food, but everything else is o.k.  I love puppies.  They can jump all over me and I’m fine.  I’ve been around a big female Mastiff and I’m fine.  I think I get scared when a dog is too active or aggressive.  I can’t see so I protect myself the only way I can.  I go on walks with my guardian angels and I’m fine on or off leash.  I don’t pull.  I’m just greatful that someone pays attention to me.  I love to put my head in your lap and get loved on….it’s a new and wonderful experience.  Won’t you consider making me YOURS.   Your loving friend Atlas.

HELP! Lighthouse is in desperate need of foster homes. The dogs are coming into the shelters of Ohio faster than we can save them. Currently we only have a couple of foster homes, and we can only take in as many dogs as we have foster homes. If you love boxers, are a responsible pet owner, and are looking for a way to give back please vist our website and complete a volunteer application. Thank you
