UPDATE:  09/06/09 - Buddy has been with us a year now.  He continues to do well after his treatment and is very healthy.   Buddy will make a fine companion with a family who has NO dogs.   Buddy loves people and companionship and prefers to be the male only dog.    He is a great protector and lets you know when someone or something is just not right.  Please help us find Buddy his forever home.

UPDATE: 5/27/09 Buddy has been treated for heartworms and is doing great. His treatment finished around a month ago, he's more than ready to find his forever home. During his HW treatment we gave him a blanket to make him more comfortable while confined to his kennel. The blanket is now a permanent fixture - he likes them soft and full of stuffing! If he comes to bed and his blanket isn't waiting he gets very upset. One time he turned his food bowl over! When he has his blanket he keeps a neat and tidy kennel - we feel house-training would be pretty painless with Buddy. Buddy loves everybody, plays well with a FEW  dogs and likes to patrol the yard. He'll make the best dog! ------------
Buddy was found wandering around on the hospital parking lot. Buddy weighs appx 40 pounds, is around 1 1/2 years old and is tan/black in color. Buddy tested POSITIVE for heartworms, but will be treated. Donations are needed! Buddy is so gentle, has been in the house, and is a very calm and gentle dog. Please help us help Buddy.
