FROM THE SHELTER:

This 65-lb male (Catahoula/Pointer/Aussie mix) was saved from a kill shelter when he was only 15 months. He had tested positive for heartworm infection. Fortunately, he was treated by a volunteer rescue group 'Dogs on Death Row' which works to save animals in local shelters.  He is blind in his right eye, which makes him a little shy, so he will need some leash work. He came to Welcome Home Sanctuary Inc. after his heartworm treatment.

He is a loving, gentle soul who will adore you. He is looking for his forever home with an adult and perhaps older kids in a relatively quiet home willing to give him a lot of love and walkies.  He is good with other dogs, and seems interested in cats.  He is up to date with his vaccinations, neutered and will be micro chipped.  Please adopt him and love him forever!
