THANK YOU Jason, Melissa & Bail for your sponsorship!

New to rescue on 9/26/09 from a north-east Ohio shelter.
Richard is being fostered in Creston OH.

Richard is around 18 months old, 40#, and has the 'blocky' head & stout body style.  He has been good with adults and children. He met Mason, Grace, and Rodeo with tail wags and offers to play. He is heartworm negative and current on shots. We will get his neuter and micro-chip scheduled. Richard will learn crate training, housebreaking, & general obedience. Please check back for updates as we get to know him better.

UPDATE 10/3/09: Richard has been with us for one week today. This is a very nice male ACD. His neuter is scheduled for 10/7 and he will be ready for adoption after 10/10. Richard is learning what toys are and has already mastered 'sit' & 'down'. He is a very well tempered ACD who is always happy to see you and meet new dogs. We are very impressed with this male who is now crate trained and walking good on a leash.

UPDATE 11/01/09: Richard is one of the good ones. He loves to go to work with me & always has a 'smile' on his face. Richard is easy going and a joy to train. He is housebroken and respectful of cats. Richard's favorite past time is destroying stuffed animals, blankets, rope tugs or anything he can shred. He also loves the jolly ball that hangs from the tree. He makes us laugh daily and is quickly becoming a favorite of my kids! He is awesome with our puppy foster, DeeDee. We can't say enough good things about this boy.

If interested please fill out an
adoption application as this is the first step to the adoption process. We also do a telephone interview, check references, and home visits. A contract and adoption fee applies. Our adoption fee is $200. All our foster dogs are altered, heartworm tested and kept on prevention, had age appropiate shots, fecal tests, are micro-chipped, and are kept on a premium food.
