It has taken a few weeks, but Barnabas is finally the happy, healthy lab he was meant to be.  It is amazing how good food and plenty of it, a warm bed and lots of love can transform a pound dog.    Barney has shown nothing but affection towards all those who have come his way.  He LOVES kids, me - because I am the source of lots of food and hugs, other big people, other dogs and even cats.  It never ceases to amaze me how resilient and forgiving a puppy can be - especially one who has been so obviously neglected.  Barnabus is about a year old, is gaining weight and is probably about 50 pounds - I'm guessing he will be 60-65 pounds as he continues to gain some much needed weight.  He is so loving and eager to please - a real sweetheart with lots of puppy playfulness.  This guy is smart, comes when called, sits, will stay in his crate but is so reliable (potty trained and doesn't chew) he now has free reign of the house, and he trained very quickly to our invisible fence.   I would love to see him in a home where he has companionship (human or other dog) during at least part of the day. Of all the rescues who have stayed with us until adoption, Barnabas will be the hardest to see go.  He is a wonderful boy!

Barnabas is neutered and is fully vetted.
Adoption fee is $200.
