FROM THE SHELTER:

This is beautiful Rose. Rose has been in at least three homes in her short two years of life. None of them had any time for her and each one just passed her on to the next home when they got frustrated with her lack of training and socialization. (Which of course was all their fault). Not one of these homes saw fit to give her any kind of vetting, so by the time she came to us, we had no idea if she had ever had a Rabies shot or a Heartworm test. Thankfully, she tested negative for Heartworm, and her shots are now all up to date. She is in heat so will be spayed after she is done, another thing the poor girl had to go through because no one wanted to take responsibility for her. Rose, as you can see, is exceptionally beautiful, and has the eyes of a deer. She is tiny, at 8 pounds, and has great stand up natural ears. Because of her lack of socialization, she will not be recommended for a home with small children, although she is improving by leaps and bounds in our care. She is working on her housetraining, and is doing well-she almost always hits the pee pad dead on, so the complaints that she could not be trained are incorrect. Rose is very needy right now, which reflects the lack of any attention or affection in her life up til now.
