Hi! My name is Tigger and I want to be your best buddy! Unlike my name, I really don't bounce, or hop or skip. But what I will do is be your loyal companion, watch every thing you do and learn from you as we spend time together.

I have had it just a little rough since coming into the world. My 1st parents loved me, but they didn't teach me anything like...how to play with dogs, or not jump on people, counter surf, you know, what you guys would call 'manners'. And since I wasn't being taught anything, I guess I wasn't acting correctly either so they sent me away to a shelter where I stayed for a few months before another family adopted me. I was super excited to be finally going home. Unfortunately, they wanted me to hunt. I'm not really the hunting type...at least not yet. And because I wouldn't hunt for them, they ended up ignoring me too. The shelter where I came from found out and brought me back and gave me the care I needed, but it is still not home.

So here I am, in my foster home just waiting for someone to love me. My foster mom tells me I'm beautiful, have a soft mouth and a very soft feathery coat! I love to play with them and to snuggle as well. I take treats very nicely and when in the car, I do settle down after a few minutes. I have lived in a 8 X 8 kennel for quite some time, so I'm not real keen on crating, but maybe could get the hang of it? But what I really need now is a home that is willing to continue to teach me the things that I have missed out on. I know I will be better with older children because I do have a tendency to be 'huggy' and could knock down a small child by accident. I would do great as an only dog or maybe one other dog...one that was patient and would teach me how to play and such.

I'm heart worm negative, fully vaccinated and will be microchiped prior to adoption. If you are a family looking for a boy like me, then please fill out the adoption application and mention my name! I'm sure my foster parents will get back to you shortly!

HISTORY:
As stated above, Tigger seems to have spent as much time at this shelter then he did in a normal home environment. When we picked him up, he literally hugged me (in the car) and gave me plenty of kisses as if to say THANK YOU!!
