Blake is one nice Catahoula pup fostered in Maine. He is very active, loves to play with other dogs, is learning how to interact with cats and doing fine with it. Everywhere Blake has gone they have been impressed with his intelligence. He learns so quick. Seems eager to learn and please. His foster mom thinks he is very special. When he had his vetting done the veterinarian phoned to say he thought he was a great pup and would make someone an excellent pup -- he was impressed! Catahoula Rescue Inc is an all volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered if old enough. They have been wormed and tested for heartworms if over 4 months of age when rescued. All dogs are on heartworm preventative. We require a minimum $150 adoption fee to help offset these costs.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the online adoption application available at our main website www.catahoularescue.com From the homepage, follow the link 'How to Adopt'. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the fosterparent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue.
