ADOPT ME!
LOCATION: Kansas City
AGE: 8 months
TEMPERAMENT: A play machine! Jellybean loves to run and play, then crash and snooze. She loves humans, other dogs, and cats. She needs to learn to play more gently, but once she learns that she'll be the perfect family dog.
Jellybean is a darling young kid who was dumped by her family in a terrible kill pound where she had no chance at all. We were called about a shepherd mix in danger and said of course we'd take her. In her own words, here's her story.
Hi there, hellooooo, nice to meetcha!!! I LOVE life, how about you? Want to play? Let's meet. Let's party. Let's rock n' roll. Whoohaaa, time's a-wastin'g, folks. Why waste any more time, what do you say?? I'd love to meet you! I'd love to go home with you! I'd love to sleep on a comfy bed at night near you or with you! Sound good? Call me! Come see me! Let's make beautiful music together!
I'm just a little confused, because I don't know where my other family is. One minute everything was fine and I was outside playing away, and the next minue I was in this awful place that smelled terrible and there were dozens of dogs and cats all making horrible noises and it just felt all wrong, like something awful was about to happen. My famly gave my leash to a stranger and whisked me behind a door and I've never seen them again. They didn't even give me a wave goodbye or a backward glance. I cant figure it out. I thought they loved me. After all, I'm only 8 months old and they had me for 6 of those months. Can anyone tell me what happened? Why did they leave me? Why did they make me go to that awful place?
One of the nice rescue people said something about 'moving' whatever that is. They all got pretty angry and said it was the a common excuse, the reality is that puppies grow up, get big, aren't quite as 'cute' anymore and take more work -- so out the door they go like so a paper plate. Throw-aways. Whatever that it is, I can tell it isn't good.
My heart hurt for a while but I'm okay now. I'm living with this nice couple and a couple of other dogs, and we get to play a lot. They're teaching me to finish up my potty training (my other family threw me out in the backyard most of the time and left me there, very boring). They're also teaching me to be a little more gentle because I play rough. Well, heck, nobody ever taught me any different before so how would I know ... you know what I mean? Why don't they tell a girl these things so we can learn?
I I really, REALLY want a forever home and family... I've had enough of this being dumped stuff. I'm healthy and gorgeous and loving and goofy. I have wonderful traits, though these silly people keep saying I need to learn certain house manners. Hah! I'll learn anything you want me to, just say the word. I'm smart as well as pretty ya know ;-D All you have to do is work with me here JUST PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE MY FAMILY.
