September 2
Annie had a little break through. She is actually taking treats from her foster dad now.  She'll wiggle and wag and talk to any new people but just hasn't had enough courage to come near them. She is housetrained and wee wee pad trained. 100%  Annie has never had an accident on the floor. Do you have time and patience to win the heart of this little girl?

August 5
There hasn't been much of a change with Annie these past months.  She's still very very timid of people and will run most of the time except from her foster mom. Her foster mom left for a couple days leaving her  in the care of the others in the home and Annie did pretty well with them.  

June 1
Annie is still  fearful of strangers but doing a little better.  Her foster mom says she's a joy to have around.  She races through the house playing with the other dogs but still runs to her safe spot on the dog bed when someone strange comes around.  She would probably do best in a home with someone that doesn't have a lot of visitors.  She lays on the couch when only her foster mom is home and will crawl over to tummy rubs.  Annie would be a great for someone that is a home body and just wants someone to love and talk to. 

April 21
Annie is doing alot better.  We figured out that her intestines just can not handle chicken products.   Annie is eating Nature's Variety Prairie Venison or Salmon and doing great !   No upset intestines at all.   She's still pretty timid of new people and will zoom past them to get out of their way but otherwise she loves playing with the other dogs and her foster mom.  Annie needs someone out there that has patience and willing to help her overcome her fears of people.  She is just so sweet and deserves a home of her own. 


April 6

Annie is still very timd when it comes to people she does not know. She's very good with her foster mom but everyone else in the house is still scarey to her. She did finally make a break through and comes back into the house now at potty time without her foster mom having to go out and pick her up. Annie is still very nervous around other people and has experiencing bouts of diarrhea. She's been on antibiotics and a special bland diet for about 2 weeks now. She has her good days and then when there is any changes in her home she starts to stress again.

March 1

Annie hasn't really made much progress since our last update. She's still very timid of new people but not running from them as much. She will wag that little tail of hers and you can just see the joy in her eyes when someone talks to her. She wants so hard to overcome her fear of people but something is still holding her back. Was she abused? neglected? a breeder dog with no socialization? Only Annie knows her past and we're trying to help her forget those memories.

February 16

Annie is all healed from her spay and just waiting for that someone special to find her. She is still very timid when it comes to meeting new people but if they are slow approaching her they might get a little kiss on their fingers. She has so much love to give to that special person out there that is willing to give her the time to trust them. Annie has become a little vocal and will talk to her foster mom when she gets excited. She loves watching and talking to the dogs on the Dog Whisperer too. She'll stand on her hind legs right in front of the TV barking at them when a dog barks then races back onto the couch to watch. She loves belly rubs but most of the time she rubs her own belly on the couch and just wags that stub of a tail like crazy when we talk to her.

January 27

Annie has been spayed as well as had a dental cleaning. She is still so scared of fast movements,etc. The night of her spay she was crated and got very upset. She apparently bounced around in their while her foster family was sleeping. When they got up they found Annie was bleeding pretty badly. Her foster family called the vet to let them know she was coming. The vet assured her after asking a few questions that it was just a hematoma that popped and would be fine but to page him if she had any changes. Annie settled down as long as her human 'mom' sat by her crate with her. She is doing much better and hasn't had any blood draining anymore.

January 8

Annie is still very afraid of most anything that moves. If anyone moves fast in the house she runs, if anyone comes near her she runs. She will lay on the couch with the other dogs but the minute anyone moves towards the couch to sit down she is off and hiding. She wags her tail at her foster mom and will let her pick her up at times. Most of the time she needs to be cornered. She goes outside to potty with the other dogs and will come back in if no talks to her. If she sees anyone near the door other than her foster mom she runs back into the yard and refuses to come in. Annie is going to need someone with alot of patience and love to help her overcome her fear of people. Annie will need a home without small children and someone that does not work full time. She is not one to cuddle or sit on your lap nor is she one that will really play with the other dogs. She must have been through so much to be so afraid of people before she was dumped in a shelter.

Dec 16th

Annie is still very much afraid of everything. She's doing better with her foster mom but no one else in the house can come near her without her running away. She loves hanging out on the couch with the other dogs and starting to drag toys around the house

Nov 14th

Annie is out of isolation and doing really well. She is going outside to potty with the other dogs, although she doesn't really pay much attention to them. She usually lays in a corner in her foster home watching what they do. Annie will come to you when called but very hesitantly. It's almost as though she was abused before. She'll give kisses on your fingers but not come close enough most times to be touched. We know with some time and patience she'll learn people aren't really bad. A fenced yard for this little girl is a must since she is very timid and frightens easily.

Oct 4

This sweet little girl was dropped off in a drop box over night at a shelter and not wanted. We saw her and just fell in love. She is somewhat shy with people but will come to you if you are slow. Right now she is still in isolation and will be completely vetted prior to being adopted. We're not quite sure just what breed /mix she is, but she is cute as can be. It appears that someone cut her hair but left it long on her back. She's got a wirey type coat. Her ears look as though something were chewing on them. She had an open sore on one of them which has now healed but she still does not have much hair on them.
