Brice has been moved from Ohio to Michigan, trading places with Toby.

Brice is new to rescue from a north east Ohio shelter.
Brice is around 1-2 years old and sports a docked tail. He was found as a stray and in the shelter for a month. Poor fella is just overflowing with energy! He was just neutered, brought up to date on shots, wormed, and heartworm tested negative. We will start him on prevention and get him micro-chipped. Brice seems to have a skin condition (lots of flakes) so we will put him on a premium food and give him a supplement to help clear it up. He is eating very well and weighs only 32#. We think he is closer to 1 year old since he needs to fill out yet. Brice has been good with us and the dogs he has met. He just wants to play (he loves his Cuz toy) and have fun right now, but is on leash walking due to his recent neuter. Due to his mouthiness and lack of manners, no children under 10 years old please. We will update more on Brice as we get to know him better. His two week evaluation is over on 10/14/08.

UPDATE 10/7/08: Brice is a happy, lover boy. He loves to play with Ozzy and Brock. He has learned sit, down, drop it, and walks nicely on a leash. He is still bouncy and would knock a little child over but is otherwise good with children as young as 7 years. Brice is crate trained and loves to play fetch. He is going to work with me where he likes to chew on his toys and go for walks. He seems housebroken, as no accidents yet! His skin no longer flakes now that he is being brushed daily.

PLEASE NOTE: AuCaDo Rescue is not a public shelter. This dog is being fostered in a private home until adoption. Prospective adopters who have submitted an accepted application and completed a telephone interview are welcome to schedule an appointment to travel to meet the dog. If approved for adoption, a deposit will hold the dog until a meeting or transport is arranged. AuCaDo Rescue does welcome out of state adoptions. We require an approved application, phone interview, photos and willingness to help with transport. AuCaDo Rescue is now located in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio.
