Daisy is a young, 5 lb. Maltese that we were contacted to help. She was surrendered to a shelter by her family. She was completely infested with fleas, her hair was all cut off and her poor skin was red and inflamed(see last photo in grass). As if that wasn't bad enough, she also has a very serious problem, grade 4 "luxating patellas". This is a serious condition, Daisy is in extreme discomfort and it is becoming difficult for this poor baby to use her two rear legs. She will definitely need the surgery that costs 1,000.00 to 1,200.00 per knee. Our funds are depleted due to the numerous other special needs animals in our care that have had extensive medical bills. Daisy's surgery will need to be paid in advance. Therefore we cannot get her the surgery that she desperately needs to walk and be free of pain until we get enough donations to pay for the surgeries for her two back legs. The longer her problem goes without being rectified, the higher the probability that irreversible damage will be done that not even surgery can correct and she will lose the use of her two back legs. This is an urgent medical need and Daisy cannot live without this surgery. The amount of pain she would have to endure for her entire life would be cruel. Please donate to help Daisy.
