1/4/09 - Update! Hannah had been adopted to a wonderful home but was returned after a month due to a rambunctous toddler who didn't quite understand not to startle and jump on her. Hannah would allow the 3 year old to walk her as she is very gentle and easy-going. However, due to her size, we are ONLY adopting to a household with children 10+ who are old enough to understand how to properly treat a pet. Hannah is very loving and kind and would never hurt anyone!

HANNAH is now spayed and ready for her new home! She is such a great dog and does fantastic in the house. Please give this girl the Furever Home she needs - you will love her as much as we!

HANNAH is the victim of neglect, but thankfully she is happy and healthy now! Her 'owners' dumped her in the shelter because 'she wouldn't stay out of the pool'. What they didn't mention, was that THEY NEGLECTED her pitifully. Poor Hannah had a SEVERE ear infection, so bad, that when she went to get spayed, the vet couldn't do it because her eardrum was ruptured!

HANNAH's infected ear had NEVER been treated by her 'owners' to the extreme that it ruptured her ear drum. A condition like this does not happen overnight - this poor girl suffered in pain for years!

HANNAH is doing excellent today! She no longer shakes her head or winces in pain when we give her medication. Her ear is clean and her hearing is not impaired. HANNAH has been living in the home for several weeks now and has never had an accident! She is kennel trained, doggie door trained, does not get on the furniture or bed.

Hannah is just an all around great girl who will never know a life of neglect again! Her ears will need to be monitored and she CANNOT get in the water (hard thing for a Lab) but that is the only way to prevent further damage to her hearing.
