A few words from my foster parents:
Daisy is a fantastic dog! With very minimal work Daisy has
progressed from a very timid dog that startled easily to a
welcoming member of our home.
This greyhound-shepherd mix is a beautiful animal that is
incredibly gentle. Daisy has a slight limp in her front
left leg that is caused by a badly healed injury from the
past year-- the veterinarian has told us that this has
caused arthritis that Daisy has learned to cope with, but
shouldn't be active to an extreme. Daisy loves the outdoors
and is a very reliable and obedient dog that is well house
trained.
Daisy spends most of the day relaxing on her bed or playing
with her new friend Winnie, a lab-retriever mix. She is
quick to be friendly with other dogs that her owner shows
to be friendly. Daisy has spent quite a bit of time with
an eight month old baby with whom she has proven to be
extraordinarily patient and gentle with. She responds
very well to boundaries and guidelines set forth by her
human companions and is ecstatic when she is able to
please.
Daisy is a very happy animal that likes to please. She
occasionally will bark if strangers approach the house,
but she is quickly learning and responding to training
that this is not an ideal behaviour. Daisy does not enjoy
being confined to a crate or small space, so this would
not be ideal-- when left alone in the house she has not once
caused any mischief. She has also never exhibited any
signs of aggression to dogs, humans, or towards us with
her food.
Daisy is a delight to have in the house and we will miss her
greatly. Daisy will do well in a home with or without
children, a space to spend some time outdoors, and firm
expectations of her behaviour.

All dogs adopted from LOYAL Rescue will receive 6 weeks of free pet insurance with PetSecure! LOYAL Rescue is a foster based rescue. We do not operate a shelter, thus do not have viewing hours. Each pet is in a private home located somewhere in Southern Ontario. In order to adopt this pet, please visit our website www.loyalrescue.com and download an application. Complete it, and return it via email to loyalrescue@netscape.ca. We will then arrange for a volunteer to contact you to conduct the telephone interview. The same volunteer will also contact your veterinarian and personal references. If the interview and references are good, a home visit will be booked. Should you be the successful applicant for this pet, you are then welcome to come and meet the dog. You are not obligated to adopt, if the fit is not correct, however we must go through this process prior to meeting the dog.
Please ensure that you read the FAQ section of the LOYAL website, prior to applying to adopt from us.
