Tom Thumb is a very lovable dog. He will jump up on your lap as soon as you sit down, curl up in your arm and give you big kisses if you want them. He is a very slim dog and could use a few extra pounds on his body. Most of the time, he wears a wee sweater to keep him from shivering. He is the king of drama and will let you know if you are picking him up the 'wrong' way. Tom loves to sleep under the covers and close to your body. He does not like to spend much time outside, but rather curled up in a few blankets left on the floor. He is social with other dogs, but not overly playful with them. He will chase cats and chickens but stops, once he is spoken too.
