Adoption details

Candy was surrendered by her owner when they could no longer afford to care for her. Candy was purchased from a breeder and is now almost 11 months old. Candy was absolutely terrified when she first came to us.....seems she was never socialized at all. She would cower in the back of her cage shaking....it was so sad. But, over the past few weeks she has made remarkable progress and is starting to come out of her shell. We have found she adores other dogs and Wally is her current play pal here at the shelter. We would love to see her go to a home with another dog to help her confidence grow. Candy also seems to have a real preference towards women, so if there is a female household out there, that would be perfect! We are working on this with her, trying to warm her up to some of our male staff. Candy will also need work on her housebreaking, she was kept outside all the time. She is a real beauty to look at and deserves a real chance at a forever home. We are searching for a special family for this special girl. If you think you fit the bill, please come by today.
