Ben is a very friendly dog that loves life. He loves to play with Gypsy and Scarlett.

He is learning manners and is eager to learn new things. He like to play fetch but he doesn't understand that if he gives you the ball you will toss it again. Actually I should say he like to play keep away, once he gets the ball he keeps it away from you.

He is such a sweet boy and is just a delight to watch as he inspects the world around him. He discoved grasshoppers today and spent hours chashing them and trying to catch them. I wish I had my camera with me when he was chasing them.

Ben is good with kids of all ages. But he would make a great companion to boys who like to romp and play like he does. Or maybe someone that is a runner. Ben wants to please his humans and gets a big kick out of giving kisses to who ever comes his way.


Ben is a sweet boy that we saved from a high kill shelter. Ben was found with 3 of his siblings, 2 were adopted and one was put down to make room for other dogs that had been dumped. Ben was the next dog to be euthanized.

We received a call from our friend Susan and she asked if we could help this wonder Golden mix named Ben that has one the hearts of everyone that has met him. He is playful yet gentle. He is good with other dogs and kids.

We've been receiving more inquiries then ever before and it is taking me longer then normal to respond to them. Please understand that we are a volunteer organization. As we do not charge for the dogs themselves, we remain operational by collecting a post-rescue fee that is tax deductible. Thereby, each adoption provides the necessary funding to rescue the next innocent victim.
