Monty is a handsome senior basset hound who was found as a stray. His owners never claimed this sweet old gent, so now he is looking for a 'furever' home. Monty is loving, gentle, and has years of snuggling left to give! Could he be the right hound for you?

FOSTER UPDATE 10/2/08: 'SWEET' is the word to describe Monty. He is so well behaved. He learned the doggie doors very fast or sometimes will give a single bark at the door if he thinks that will get him attention. He gets along very well with the other two hounds and is so sweet with children. The first time we saw him really excited was when a couple of our grandchildren came over. He bonded right away with the 6 year old. Monty loves his food and treats but is respectful of the other dogs' bowls. He is low activity, likes to walk around the yard and will occasionally romp with the other dogs in a sedate fashion. He does not try to get up on furniture, and is always ready for a love session. He does not seem to have any separation anxiety. This sweet guy needs a furever home to spend his golden years.
