Boomer is a 4 year old neutered male. He is UTD on shots and will be chipped. Not met any cats formally but has shown initial curiousity when out on walks and then forgets. Currently lives with two dogs and does well with them but is an alpha male, would do best with a female companion who is more submissive. He likes kids but will steal food from them if given the opportunity, older kids only please as he is protective of food and treats. Loves all people! 114lbs. Great on lead and is house broken and bell trained. Very food and treat motivated. Loves bathes, being brushed and pets. Enjoys a good back scratch too! Playful, likes his ears and face cleaned with a warm wash cloth and is a big sweetheart! If you give him a good night kiss he will make the sweetest content humming noise. Always ready for a walk and can be lazy too! Loving and a gorgeous boy!! Will need a higher fiber food to control anal glands or to have them professionally expressed once a month or so. Also, as do most hound breeds, he will need to have his nails trimmed regularly, they are long, thick and grow fast. Will bark if bored, thats the hound in him! Knows his basics but will need continued work. In particular his recall. Fenced yard please and he is a great watch dog. Application and home visit required. Adoption fee is $200.
