Enchante! My name is Cherie Jeanee, but everyone calls me “CJ”.

I'm loyal, loving, and I’m all about the finer things in life—belly rubs, snuggling in my cozy kennel, chewing on my Nylabone, and stretching out in front of a window to watch the traffic go by. As a yellow lab/husky mix I’m not the petite, svelte type. But as I always say, who wants to be carried around in a purse anyway?!

I’m a relaxed sort of gal, but occasionally I like to give a little stage performance for my humans. Especially when it’s time for dinner or when I want to go outside… then I come and find you, and do a song and dance number for your entertainment. And when it’s “treat time”, I sit pretty without even being asked. As an experienced performer of around 5 years young, I know to anticipate your next line. How’s that for being a smart dog!

Speaking of smart, I hate to brag, but really am very smart. I know what to do when you say “sit”, “laydown”, “off”, “come”, “drop it (or “mine”), and “no”. And if you pet me and tell me I’m a “good girl”, I make happy snorty noises and lean into you to let you know I love you, too!

Did I mention I loooove car rides? Seeing what’s going on in the world out there is just the best! And I like to play with toys once in a while, and go for easy walks (please, I'm not much for running-- my hips aren’t what they used to be!) I also need some quiet time to myself each day.

My foster mom says I have the heart of an artist— independent and a bit of a diva. She says I need someone to be my “stage manager” because with my brains and talent, I’ll find my own creative pursuits if someone else isn’t in charge. If you can give me directions, I will do my best to follow them!

And here’s a little secret: Being a diva and all, I don’t much care for other dogs directly approaching me for my autograph. The thing is, I’m never really sure if one of them might be a stalker-type, so I’d prefer to get to know them more slowly. But once I see they just want to be friends, then we get along famously! Afterall, every girl needs some attention from adoring fans, right?

And as far as getting along with humans, I think they’re delightful- and so interesting to watch! I haven’t met any people that I didn’t like. Although I have to say, I’d prefer to live with quieter ones who can give me some space of my own. Over age 10 would be perfect. Rehearsing and memorizing my lines does take concentration, you know!

So how about it? Do you have room in your studio for a beautiful, talented, creative artist? If so, I’m ready for auditions now!!

Hugs and kisses, CJ
