Oh dear, mercy me ! Have I got a story to tell. I strayed to a home one day, and delivered 7 puppies. That evening, I delivered 4 more. I was only about 40% of what my ideal weight should have been; so emaciated I hung my head low. I was just chock full of worms too ! About a week later, after I delivered my pups, my foster Mom said she thought I was acting TOO sick, so I went to the doctor, who discovered I had an icky called 'Pyometra', which is a massive infection of the uterus. My doctor did an emergency spay surgery on me even though he was scared I was too sick to survive, but if I didn't have the surgery I'd die for sure. I did survive, a Heartworm test showed I was Heartworm positive, then about a week after that (how much does a girl have to take, anyway?), I was diagnosed with pneumonia ! So, back on the antibiotics I went for a couple weeks, then my Doc said I was strong enough after that for my Heartworm treatments. I really, really did well after that, and now I'm all worm free, heartworm free, my pups have been weaned and I'm ready to find myself a new forever home that will let me snuggle up and cuddle up and be absolutely spoiled rotten for the rest of my life ! The pictures here are when I was still too skinny; I've put on more than 5 lbs since they were taken, but you can still see my precious face and those gorgeous eyes I've got. My adoption fee is $175. That includes all my age appropriate ouchies, my spay/neuter and all my preventatives to date of adoption.
