Nugget is a purebred, male, sable Sheltie who is 5 years old. (DOB 5/24/03) He was rescued from the vet when his owner had decided not to spend the money to get his injured leg fixed. Not only was his leg injured from a dog fight, but he was full of maggots and fleas. His owner was a breeder and when they heard the maggots were in his scrotum and he would need to be neutered, he was of no use to her any longer. Instead of euthanizing him like the owner wanted to do, the vet had her sign him over to them.



Throughout his treatment he has shown absolutely no signs of aggression. He has been an absolutely wonderful dog who is enjoying being cared for.



Nugget is new to our program and we will provide more information as we get to know him better.
