Whisper is a fun-loving 8 month old, Harlequin (white), male Dane with natural ears. This sweet boy was living in a small cage and the neighbor’s 13 year old daughter rescued him but could not keep him so he made his way to RMGDRI. Like most white Danes, Whisper is deaf but is learning his hand signals. He is full of energy and still all puppy so will require someone to consistently work with him to teach him his manners. While he gets along with all humans and dogs, he does best with bigger dogs and children as he does not know his size and still plays rough. His foster family’s 3-year old nephew describes his tail as a “weapon”. He has not been cat tested. Toys are a must as he is still in his chewing stage and his foster family is working on his manners (jumping and counter surfing are a no no). He is a true couch potato and loves to sleep on the furniture on which he can fit. He is house trained and crate trained. Whisper does have a congenital shoulder defect that will most likely require amputation when he is done growing (3-6 months). In the meantime, he is on pain medication and the defect does not slow him down. Whisper is looking for a family that will love him despite the possibility of him being a tripod.
