Update: Thank you for your donations! Feather's heartworm treatment has been paid for, and she is headed to a foster home for at least a month while she receives her treatment. Feathers was just diagnosed as heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is spread by mosquitoes and occurs when worms live in the arteries of the lungs and heart of a dog. It can easily be prevented with monthly preventative, but Feathers came in as a stray and clearly was not given this prevention.

She needs a loving, patient new home that will help pay for her treatment so she can get healthy enough to be spayed and go to her new forever home. If you are unable to adopt her and would like to help her, please make a donation towards her treatment. Thank you!

Feathers is just a little girl weighing in at under 35 lbs. Although she is still young she seems to be on the quiet side in the shelter. Feathers has some very unique markings and her picture just doesn't do her justice. Come in and meet this sweet young girl.. she might be just what you're looking for.


Adoption fee for dogs are between $75-$150 depending on the age of the dogs and its length of stay. This includes spay/neuter, first set of vacs., rabies vac., microchip, dewormer, and heart worm test.

All animals receive their first set of vaccinations, are HW tested or FIV/Felv tested, given rabies vaccination, microchipped, and are spayed or neutered before leaving Harbor Humane Society.
