Mr. Lovebug should be Sonny?s name! He wants nothing more than to be near his people. He will lay quietly by my desk while I am working and be perfectly content. When I am watching TV, he will either lay by my feet or curl up on the couch next to me. He is my shadow. His recall is excellent.
Sonny still does not trust easily, and is still a pretty nervous boy especially when he is left alone. He does fine alone uncrated, but is the most happy boy when we return! He is very afraid of thunderstorms though!
We estimate Sonny about 3 years old. He weighs 45 lbs. now. He gets along great with the other dogs here, and runs around with them athough he doesn?t really engage in play. He is curious about our cat but does not have any aggressive tendencies towards him. He simply will follow our cat around, and is easily called off.
He is pretty excitable, and jumpy. He does not realize his size, so we are working on learning to be gentle and not jumping. His house manners are coming along, although he tends to charge around the house and run up and down the stairs like a madman!
Sonny loves balls! He does not bring them back reliably yet, and is easily distracted. He will need an active home, as well as one where he will go to basic obedience classes to continue him on the right path. He would not be good with small children as he jumps and is herdy.
All of Sonny?s vetwork has been completed, he is heartworm tested negative and on preventative, neutered, wormed, microchipped and up to date on all his shots.
Sonny is being fostered in southern IL about 90 miles east of St. Louis, MO. To apply to adopt Sonny please to www.comebyebcrescue@petfinder.org or email Chris at comebyebcrescue@hotmail.com for more information.

Sonny is a handsome, playful border collie mix approximately 3 years old. He weighs about 52 lbs. Initially when he came to us he didn?t trust a soul, now he is eagerly coming up to me for pets and hugs. He is still wary of my husband though. He gets along great with the other dogs here, and although curious about our cat he does not seem to have any aggressive tendencies towards him.
A diamond in the rough describes Sonny! He still thinks he is a small pup, and is learning to be more gentle with me. He obviously has not been handled by humans much until recently, but he is quickly learning how nice it is! His house manners are coming along, although he is still a bit boisterous. However he has figured out if he sits quietly on the couch good things happen!
