Aubrey is the tiny girl who was written about in the most recent Greyhound Friends newsletter-'The New Jersey Home Stretch'. She is the cutest peanut of a greyhound with a winning personality. She turned 1 year old in May but has had a hard road in that year. She has had heartworm for which she received treatment and is testing negative for heartworm. She also has megaesophagus which is a condition in which the esophagus stays enlarged and does not push the food down to the stomach. Therefore, the food fails to enter the stomach and often stays in the esophagus, and is eventually regurgitated. Little Aubrey is in foster care and has learned to eat standing up and by being fed food and water from a bottle. She needs to be fed 6 times a day at this time and may be be able to go to 4 times. As you can see, little Aubrey is a special girl with special needs. We know though that there is someone out there who is willing to make the commitment to Aubrey and to feed her and love her as she deserves and needs. She has been to a Meet and Greet and did great with everyone--adults, kids, and other animals. She truly is a gem who needs help.
