Here is Dumpling, the pitbull that one of our volunteers rescued and put in boarding. She's about 2 years old and friendly with everyone. She's been completed vetted, including spay, and was treated for heartworms. She was recently retested for heartworms and was negative. She had been in boarding since January and, as you can see, put on a few pounds. She's currently in a Catahoula Rescue fosterhome, but can't stay. Other than being over weight, Dumpling has no problems that we know of. Please can anyone give this sweet girl a loving home? Catahoula Rescue Inc is an all volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The fosterhomes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered if old enough. They have been wormed and tested for heartworms if over 4 months of age when rescued. All dogs are on heartworm preventative. We require a minimum $150 adoption fee to help offset these costs.

Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the fosterparent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue.
