My name is Happy Face. I came from a local shelter 9 months ago. A very nice lady, who volunteers at the shelter, saw me huddled in the corner of the run and noticed that I had a broken leg. I was also about 20 pounds underweight. She thought I was so beautiful, sweet and gentle that she put a plea out to all the rescue groups to try to save me from being killed at the shelter. I was so scared the day a shelter employee came in to my run and walked me out. But, I realized I wasn’t being walked into the back room; I was being walked OUTSIDE where two nice ladies helped me get in to a van. Turns out, my foster mom saw the plea to save me, and told Miss Donna she would take me!!! I was so happy, and relieved, that I was going to make it out alive. But I was very sad for all the other dogs, who were just as nice as me, who wouldn’t make it out. My foster mom took me to the doctor and he said my leg had been badly broken a long time ago and there was no way to fix it so they had to amputate it. Through it all, I have stayed happy and sweet. I do everything a dog with four legs can do. I run, play and jump around.. and I’ve never been happier!! Give a tripod a chance and meet me! I promise you'll love me!
