IMHO, from my experience you don’t necessarily have to feed different foods for puppies and adults. A few natural brands have an all life-stages philosophy and manufacture food you can raise your dog on and never have to go through the process of switching when they reach “adulthood” and possibly have to deal with all the digestion and diarrhea issues that go along with that. In the wild, puppies and adult dogs would be eating the same foods, just different portions. My dog has been raised on Ultra (Natural Balance) and has never had one health problem, let alone any gastro issues. Just my two cents!
