When she was 8, Melissa was introduced to dog training when her father inherited a dog sledding team. Ever since, she's been intrigued by learning behavior, animal behavior, and the unique bond between animal and human.

She graduated with a Psychology degree (with a focus on Animal Behavior and Learning Behavior) in 2003. As a graduation gift to herself, she rescued a 4month old Border Collie/Aussie cross, Sadie. Sadie taught Melissa how to play Frisbee, and they've been competing in some capacity ever since.

Melissa's goal is to make your relationship with your dog a fun and rewarding experience, whether you want a companion, an athlete, a foot warmer, or a backyard playmate.
