Pet Product Review – Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair

Save all that money I’m spending on sticky lint rollers? I’m there, baby! Just had to give the new Pledge Fabric Sweeper a test drive to see if I could start saving for my dream trip to Ireland!

I had the perfect opportunity for testing arise when I was setting the table for our big Thanksgiving Day feast and found our feline diva, Indy, had been using a placemat as her personal sunbathing mat. (I must mention that they do not specifically mention placemats as an item the sweeper is good to use on, though it seemed logical to me that if it worked on upholstery, it could surely handle a cotton placemat).

Here are the results:

Before After

It really did a good job. A few swipes back and forth with the Sweeper and most of the hair was gone. Some stubborn, finer hairs still lingered so I broke out the lint roller for a few finishing touches. I then moved on to the couch (which has a rougher texture then the smooth placemats), and it worked incredibly well! A lot less hassle than using the sticky lint rollers or hauling out the vacuum and attachments.

I was very pleased with the results and won’t be using the lint rollers nearly as often. The biggest drawback for me is the fact that the Sweeper is not reusable, looks like it would take little effort to make the hair reservoir removable so that it can be emptied and used again.

You can purchase the Pledge Fabric Sweeper wherever Pledge products are sold. I purchased mine at Wal-Mart for $4.62. You can also purchase online at the Rite Aid website for $5.49.
