Basset Hound: Size
Basset Hounds stand no more than 14 inches at the shoulder and weigh 50 to 65 pounds. They truly are big dogs with short legs. It's not easy to lift an adult Basset Hound, so take that into account before you acquire one for a home with lots of stairs. Will you be able to get the dog in and out easily if he's sick or old and needs to be carried? « Coat, color & grooming | Next: Health »

Seizure
Our eight year old bassett had signs of having a seizure today. He was upright, unresponsive, stiff, and urinate without control. Has any one else had a seizure issue? |
