As long as he isn’t going bald and his fur and skin look healthy I wouldn’t worry too much. It is summer, and while I don’t know where you are it has been very hot in most places around the country. It also sounds like his pigment may be filling in and he’s getting his adult coat. |

I have a male, white and silver APBT, 7 mos old, we live in LA, it isn’t too warm here but, my PB has been shedding like crazy of late. I will definitely add some extra oil to his food. Also sounds like he may be losing his baby coat. Glad you posted the question leisha95. I have a question though, is any oil more gentle than the other? My boy has a sensitive stomach, any change to his diet wrecks havoc on his stools. |

They normally don’t shed too much. You can tell a lot about the general health of your dog by taking a good look at her coat and skin. A healthy dog is a beautiful dog, and a coat that’s nice and shiny is a strong indicator that your pet’s in peak condition. To find more about signs of a healthy coat, please click on: |
