I don’t know whether you’d be able to have an Alaskan Malamute in Asia, since they have thick fur coats, and are more Arctic Suitable…

AS A MALAMUTE OWNER, TRAINER, AND BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST, I HAVE TO BEG YOU NOT TO CONSIDER THIS BREED. I HAVE SPENT 1 MONTH IN MALAYSIA AND I HAVE TO SAY YOU WOULD HAVE TO RESTRICT THIS BREED TO AN INDOOR AIR CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENT FOR THE MAJORITY OF IT’S LIFE WHICH WOULD BE VERY DANGEROUS. THESE ARE VERY LARGE POWERFUL DOGS (MY FEMALE WEIGHS IN AT 110LBS) THAT ARE INDEPENDENT MINDED AND REQUIRE A LOT OF EXERCISE WHICH YOU WOULD BE UNABLE TO PROVIDE IN MALAYSIA DUE TO THE COMPLETE UNSUITABILITY OF YOUR CLIMATE. RESTRICTING THIS BREED OF DOG TO AN INDOOR ENVIRONMENT IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO RADICALLY REMODEL YOUR HOME IF THEY BECOME BORED OR ANXIOUS WHICH THEY WILL DO IF GIVEN INSUFFICIENT EXERCISE AND TRAINING. IF YOU WERE TO LEAVE THIS DOG OUTSIDE IN YOUR CLIMATE IT WOULD MOST LIKELY DIE IN A VERY SHORT TIME. THESE DOGS EVOLVED TO LIVE IN AN ARTIC ENVIRONMENT AND WHILE THEY ARE ADAPTABLE TO TEMPERATE CLIMATES, MALAYSIA IS ABOUT AS FAR FROM THE ARCTIC CLIMATE-WISE AS YOU CAN GET SHORT OF THE SAHARA DESERT. IF YOU LOVE THIS BREED OF DOG, YOU WOULD NOT CONSIDER PUTTING IT INTO A TROPICAL CLIMATE THAT IT IS NOT LIKELY TO SURVIVE.

hi…

Malamutes are sensitive to heat. They’re Arctic dogs, not designed by nature to live in hot, humid environments. If your Malamute lives in the Sunbelt, be sure to provide him with plenty of shade, fresh water, and air conditioning during the summer, and avoid exercise in the heat of the day.

try considering other breeds that suits your environment…
