My husband lost our dog and his comfort. Our beloved dog Tonka. My husband is disabled and tonka was his only piece of mind. he slept with us went everywhere with us and kept my husband from losing his mind. my husband is also clinically depressed so i thought a dog would be good for him and i was right he loved the dog and the dog loved him they were inseperable until he was gone now my husband is not so well again. I have been trying to find another dog for him but everwhere i look they are just to much. so i hope someone on here maybe able to HELP ME PLEASE!! and thank you

i’m sorry to hear about tonka. check local shelters, the humane sociaity and the papers. post signs in stores that you are looking to give a puppy a new home. you’ll be amazed how many will respond.

I’m soo sorry to hear about your husbands loss of his sweet dog tonka. I agree with the comments from melissapaul2. I also lost my

young dalmatian in july & I am still sad over the loss. It will probably

take some time before your husband’s heart will heal over his loss,

the best thing I have found is to keep busy & look for ways to help

others. There are lots of dogs in rescue’s who have been abused &

who need a warm, loving home. Hang in there!!

hi,

i’m sorry you have to go through that.

If you’ve shared your heart and home with a dog, you will no doubt feel a great sense of loss and sorrow when you lose her. No matter how old your dog was, how many years you had together, or how expected her death, the grief can be overwhelming.

hope this will lessen the burden:
