Why do you need to find a home for this dog? Have you tried a rescue shelter that specialises in the breed?

What you don’t do is dump the dog out into the country assuming some kind soul will take it in. More often, they starve or get hit by a car or end up getting shot when they go after a farmer’s lifestock. Especially a large breed dog – folks will assume they are dangerous. We see so many “throw away” dogs, it makes us sick. Call your local Humane Society. They usually have a waiting list that you can get on, or you have to keep calling back until they have room. Keep trying. There may be an Animal Defence League where you live, call them. It may cost you a donation, but your dog deserves whatever you can do to get them a temporary home. If your dog is a specific breed, there are Dog Rescues for most breeds. Check the internet to see if there is one close to where you live. Driving a bit to get the dog placement is worth it.

hi,

If you can’t find a friend or somebody who would like to have your dog, there are rescue groups who can take your dog to foster homes. You can surrender your dog to a shelter and have him adopted.
