Tessa my JRT who is almost 13yrs has had major ops during which she inhaled vomit under anesthetic and scarred her lungs, I found that by the time we got to her ‘favourite places’ she is too exhausted to enjoy them. Saw the buggies advertised locally and got one, they are specifically for dogs,Tessa put up a real fight the first time in but now knows that she is carried to the buggy, taken to the river/beach/harbour and plays and has fun then wheeled home! It keeps her spirits up, lots of fresh air without totally exhausting her. I have had lots of strange looks and comments but hey!!! my dog comes first!!. The only thing is the size I got would only do up to probaly a Cavaliers size but I believe you can get them bigger. There is a photo on my page of the buggy. Thought I would post this incase there were any other owners with old/infirm/convalescing dogs
