Tough chewers: Stay away from this toy

My in-laws pup is a very big chewer—he destroys every toy and treat given to him, so when my mother-in-law found the toy shown in the link above, she was so excited to finally have something that would withstand his teeth.

No dice.

The salesperson at the shop said the toy is bullet-proof, and when my husband pointed out the rubber rope coming out of the neck of the bottle, the salesperson said dogs are too interested in getting the treats out of the bottle to pay attention to the rope. Not so with my in-laws’ dog….he destroyed the entire thing the second day he had it.

No toy will ever be indestructible, but this one, which bills itself as virtually indescructible, isn’t as nearly as tough as it looks.
