We had the toughest time coming up with a name for ours, but we ended up choosing a name from one of our favorite movies…perhaps that’s an option for you?

There is a movie about a beale that I saw, and I liked the beagle’s name. It was Shiloh.

Well, I like the name Izzy ‘cause that’s our beagle’s name. We call her blizzy, as in blizzard, because she runs around frantically every night!
I also love the names Roxy, Lucy, or Midge. :)

Dear Starry_eyes,
there are so many names in the world. I can understand why it is difficult to decide on a name. Here is a website I would like to reccomend, if you re having Naming Troubles-
www.dogbreedinfo.com/names.htm
There are many names to choose from on this website…
NAMING TIPS-
1. don’t name your pup a name that sounds like the command u use. Such as No, Sit, Stay, Come, Heel, etc. (Dogs tend to hear vowels more than other letters in the alphabet)
So a name like “Bo” may not be a good idea, since sounds very similair to NO.
2. It’s a good idea not to name your dog a name you’ll be embarrassed to say in a dog park, other public places, or in general
3. If choosing a lengthy name, choose a shorter version. (I heard dogs respond better to one/two syllable names)
Have a good day!

Hello Starry_Eyes,
have you named your beagle yet? If so, is it ok if you tell me the name on my profile page…
Thanks.

The Beagle’s got a nose that doesn’t miss a thing, a compact build meant for tracking small game, and ears that would make the grumpiest Grinch smile.

Choosing a breed? No problem. Deciding whether to get a puppy or adult dog? Piece of cake. So now comes the hard part: coming up with a name.

Serious or silly, evocative or ironic—whatever you decide to christen your dog, it better be something you’re comfortable both printing on veterinary forms as well as yelling at the top of your lungs from the other side of the park.

i think you should name it whatever comes to you when you are handed the dog. I mean when I adopted my pup I was so for the name zoey or cloe but ended up naming her maya. There are many websites that have good names. Hiedi is a good one or um well lucky, patches, bella, lala, etc. it is ultimately up to you
