I have a 15 year old Beagle who very recently(but not at all times) has one eye that appears a bit droopy….he is not rubbing it and he has been acting totally normal….is this just a sign of age or should I have it checked? |

imnot sure if im helping as i do think at that age you should get it checked out but i do remember my dog bruce having that at i5 also, it came out of the blue, where his eye was drooping and looked as though the little skin that covers their eyes when the sleep just hadnt retracted back down enough, but we had vet check him out as he didnt seem botherd by it either, he seemed to think it was just another age related thing or perhaps due to the weakness of the eye muscles or nerve or watever controls that skin that covers the eyeball, due to old injury, its a protective response, and it did rectify itself, saying that it too months but as it wasnt bothering him we only treated with drops for short while. |
