I believe you can buy dog nappies for dogs in season.

Yes you can buy panties and pads for your dog. I just went throught this with my Yorkie. She did pretty well with them. It was odd for her to walk at first.

is there a reason you wouldn’t get her spayed?

If you are not intending breeding from your dog, it is strongly reccommended by vets that bitches get spayed….. there is a higher rate of cancers in bitches who have no puppies but remain ‘entire’, My dog almost died, she is thirteen and was very very ill, now because I lived in the back of beyond I never bothered with spaying her, I am a sensible owner, I would never let my dog run free where other strange dogs are…however she got ill and when they opened her up her womb had literally turned to mulch, the surgeon said had she not been done she would have died that day. Tessa also had to have a masectomy , she is on the road now slowly , gets fitter every day but I would say to any bitch owner …unless you want to breed…get your bitch spayed…It will safe a lot of heartache down the line!!.... and spotting on your furniture/carpets lol

Spaying her will solve the problem! Females are at risk for mammary cancer/tumors and pyometra (which can be fatal and very costly to treat) along with other problems. Anyway, it will be cheaper to spend the $300 something dollars once for the spay than to buy doggie pads each time. Plus you wont have to worry about her messing in the house ever again and you will feel better knowing you are preventing her from having complications later on in her future.
