Hi my name is yvette my puppy jofa has been very spoiled since she was born. She is 6 mths now and i had to move to my sisters house, she is allergic and now i have to train jofa to stay outside and sleep outside. Its been very hard these past 3 days. can somebody help on how to make it easier for her and me. Well she is not alone there is 2 other dogs outside with her. How can i talk to her for her to understand to stay outside wihout her crying and scratching the doors. thanks yvette & jofa

Hi! I think it has something to do with separation anxiety. Some dogs are extremely people-oriented and will act out when they are left alone. Separation anxiety can occur when you are leaving your dog alone for the first time.


Typical behaviors are:

• Digging, gnawing, and scratching at doors and windows inside, and gates and fences outside. This is an attempt to break out of confinement and reconnect with their owners.

• Barking, whining and howling to try to get you to come back.

• Going potty in the house (even housetrained dogs) as a result of anguish.
