I have a 2 year old dutch shephard who HATES to take walks. He loves exercise and the dog park, but if I try to walk him in my neighborhood he FREAKS out, shakes the whole time, jumps at strangers and poo’s himself. Any suggestions?

you should take many treats and praise any good behavior and he will soon learn that when he is not sacred and behaves he get treats {like good treats like hotdogs or hamburgers CUT UP}

Is there any hope of socializing an adult dog? I don’t think my dog was properly socialized as a pup and I’m always afraid when he gets near other dogs on our daily walks…

You can socialize an adult dog, it just takes a bit more work. If you don’t feel up to it yourself, you can always contact a dog behaviorist to help you guys out. This article should help too:

Good luck =)
