yes to both questions. just get a baby doll that cries so the dog will get used to the baby crying. it helped our neighbors dog. it turned out it was just the thing. now the dog lets them know when the baby needs changing before the baby cries.

There is no reason you need to worry about being around a dog while you are pregnant. Dogs tend to accept the babies rather well after they are brought home, however it does depend on your dog as well. Do you have reason to believe the dog would be agressive or anything, if not then relax.

Hi, this is my first post.
Congratulations on your baby!, in reference to your question there is no reason for you to be afraid of your dog because of your pregnancy, on the contrary dogs have a sixth sense and probably he will take a role of been your watch dog now, and later will do the same, when the baby is born.
I recomend that you watch the Cesar Millan program, “The Dog Whisperer” it is on every Friday on the Animal Planet channel, check the listings for the time in your area. He teaches people on how to make your pet the perfect pet, or as he says: He rehabilitates dogs and trains people. It has helped me a lot on dealing with my shepherd dog. Hope this will help you.
Regards, and good luck.
