I’m ashamed to admit it, but I totally let my dogs sleep with us. They start out on the floor but by midnight, they both find their way onto our bed. I know it’s bad, but I love the feeling of my warm, cuddly dog at my feet. Please say I’m not the only one. |

You’re not the only one! EVERYONE I know who has a dog lets them sleep in their bed. We have a dog (a big one) and a cat with us every night. |

Would you believe that allot of the people who adopt from us at Second Chance Pet Rescue at the Corning Animal Shelter in Corning, CA, tell us their new adoptee sleeps with them on the very 1st night and every night there after? Our little rescue we adopted from there did that very thing on the 1st night too. She starts in her little den then comes up and slaps the side of the bed until my husband moves over enough. Gotta love it!! |

As a kid our dog slept in the garage but funny enough now that we are out of the house the dog sleeps in my parent’s bed. How times change. |

No of course you aren’t the only one! Our 60lb dog sleeps with us when we haven’t had a chance to give her a good walk or if we feel she’s been neglected by us lately…Who can resist those hound eyes? :) |

Oh my… we’ve always let our Lab sleep in our bed after crate training. He’s great company. Now at the age of 10 he loves to sleep with our 8yo son, curled up behind his legs and keeping a watch over him. Some nights we go into his room and our son is asleep on his bed with his head on his pillow. Then, on the other twin bed is our beloved Iggy with his head on that pillow. We just say, “Aww, look at our two sons.” Plus, he gives me a great sense of security and comfort when my husband travels. |

My dogs won’t sleep on my bed! One of the dogs stays on the bed, while I am in the bathroom. Once I come out of the bathroom, he get off. THe male dog gets up on the bed only if I have a nightmare, or I make some strange noise that he finds disturbing. I have to invite him on the bed, and even then he gets tired and jumps off withn a few minutes. I don’t kick him or anything. My female dog doesn’t have any interest in getting on the bed. Then, I do have four doggies beds and two plush carpets on my bedroom floor. (IOverkill, I know) My male is 55 pounds and the female is 48 pounds. I guess that they feel I need my space! |

Both my dogs always slept on our bed with us – after all, we are a pack! And it sleeps so much better with that bundle of fur between us! Would not have it any other way! |

We had custom built stairs for our bassets to come and sleep with us. They stay down some nights but generally there is at least one up with us and sometimes both of them are on the bed with us. I know they are spoiled but oh well. |

When I was a kid, we always had dogs, and though they were treated as members of the family, they were not allowed to sleep on the bed. Then I got my Miniature Schnauzer. He sleeps with me pretty much every night, in the summer he prefers the basement couch. He has even won over my father and when we go to Grandpa’s house he sleeps with him. He’s the only one of the dogs who gets to, but my dad just can’t tell him no. |

When Dag was a pup I had a hard time getting anything accomplished because he was always into something. I decided to put him up on the bed one day and he was so little he couldn’t (or was afraid to) jump off. Ever since the bed has been his. LOL! |
