Well I found my dog, and well I chose Jolie and 17months old mix of Jack Russell Terrier and French Bulldog. Jolie has been in dog school for the last few months and is a smart and loving dog. She will come in two days.. so any hints for how to prepare? I have decided to take a week off from work and I am trying to figure out how to prepare for her arrival..

Congratulations!
She sounds adorable, I love French Bulldogs in particular. Please post a picture when you get her. It is good that you are going to take time off from work to help her adjust. And even though she’s been to dog school, she’ll still need lessons from you, in your own environment. In the meantime here are a few good links to help you prepare:

Congrats, I’m delighted to hear that you found a dog that you love. Also, like above, it was nice of you for allowing her to get used to your home, for the first few days.

Get a dog crate for your new pet to live in when you are not there. Select a spot to put it where it can stay and not be in your way but the dog can be a part of family activities. Get a dog food and water bowl. Get the grooming items you will need. Also leash and collar. Be sure that the entire family knows the rules on how the dog will be trained and handled. Consistency is important. Try to keep things calm at home the first few days.

Congrats on your new dog! Here are some of the things you’ll need:

* crate

* food and water bowls

* food and maybe some treats for training

* collar and leash

* bed

* toys, especially chew toys

* stain- and odor-removing cleaners

* possibly some baby gates to block off sections of your house
