I’m about to get a new puppy shortly that is not crate trained. I’m also about to move to a different city and basically I’m just waiting on the puppy now. Would it be better for me to pick up the puppy and wait a few days before flying out or is it better just to get the whole scary day for him over with and pick him up and fly out the same day? If I wait a few days, I’m worried that it will be too stressful for him to get uprooted again and he has to get used to whole new surroundings again but I’m also afraid that if I fly out the same day that I pick him up that it’s way too much for a little guy that’s not even crate trained. What’s better? What would you do? |

Thanks for the advice. It’s actually only a 2.5 hour flight but since I want to crate train him afterwards I was kind of worried that he would be wary of getting in there afterwards if his first experience was terrible. I’ll try asking the vet and breeder too. Thanks! |
