I’ve had my rescue Sasha for about a year and we’re very bonded. She’s a good dog, but pretty fearful and nervous in new situations. I’m going away for the weekend and could easily take her with me, but I don’t know which is better for her: leaving her at my home with a pet-sitter (where she’s comfortable) or taking her with me to a new place where she may be a little afraid? |

If you have a great pet sitter you can trust and you’re only going to be gone a couple days it would probably be less stressful to both of you to leave her home. Think of how happy she’ll be to see you when you get back! |

Go check out your local kennel unannounced. Your dogs reaction could help with your decision. |
