What is the best way to secure your dog in the car if you are traveling by yourself and don’t want to use a crate? (short trips to the park, vet, etc). |

There are seat belt-type restraints you can buy. Did you see this article: |

I bought a car harness for my pup and it really doesn’t work. She likes sitting in the car seat by herself while somebody else is holding her leash; when I strapped her with the harness to the seat belt, she went crazy, trying to get down from her seat and getting all tangled up. At some point she even managed to get down from the seat and it was painful for her (my children were in the car, fortunatelly, so they helped her back up). We have a minivan, so I’m thinking just using something to block her from getting in the front would be better? Any suggestions, how do you travel with your dog??? |
