I had my dog spayed this morning, and I just realized that her stomach seems extremely skinny. You can see her ribs, and she looks pretty much like anorexic people with her stomach pulled in, as if there is a vacuum. Is this normal? I realize she has no had anything to eat/drink since last night, but I can’t help getting worried. I have one more question about her: she is not having little jumps. She is laying down, but every few minutes she seem to have a shock and a little jump (i am not sure if I am explaining this correctly). And she is cold — specially on her neck. I am really worried about her. BTW she was given a painkiller and an antibiotic injection, and her next meds are scheduled for tomorrow morning. |

hi, Yes,it’s normal. The dog has had all of the fur shaved off,and she’s had her uterus removed so her belly looks thinner. Also, dogs will tuck their bellies up when they are sore. Just feed her normally and she should be feeling fine in a few days and will put on a few pounds now that she’s been spayed. |
